Scaled to fit the iPhone and iTouch, you can navigate all your favorite channels, find your favorite shows, favorite them, and get your instant updates for next showings. Even better? You can now sync your favorites between iPad, iPhone and iTouch!
Link your Facebook account and see what friends are watching and favoriting in real-time, check-in is automagic! We have also added a new trending view that tells you what is hot in real time. This is really just the tip of the iceberg for personalized TV, we have much more to come!
Every Dog Has Their Day
To give our new users a full tour of yap.TV, every new user now gets an automatic anonymous user account featuring a cool dog of some kind. This allows you to take the app for a complete spin, save your favorites, explore fans and favorites, and make new friends.
At any time you can change the account name (if “sexymastiff16″ isn’t your thing) and link your Twitter and Facebook accounts to use your avatars and connect with your friends network.
Recent Shows, Improved Social Networking
New in this version are improved navigation features, including “recents shows” which tracks the shows you have visited and gives you the ability to easily hyperjump back and forth between shows. This is especially handy for those of you running private living room sessions and keep track of all your favorite show content.
We have also cleaned up some performance and updating around user search and following, making it much easier (and faster) to find people, see their favorites, and follow fans with interests like yours.
Join a Party or Create One of Your Own
Big improvements to living room performance and functionality. You can host a private living room with your friends and other yap.TV show fans and really say what is on your mind. We now have notification alerts that let you know when new messages arrive in your living room, or guest rooms you are participating in.
If you have friends scattered all over the place and you love to yap about your shows, yap.TV has the only real-time place for you to get with your friends.
