Cory Bergman over at Lost Remote showcases our new CMS offering fornetworks and producers while reporting live from NAB this week in Las Vegas.
Cory does a nice job of giving the play-by-play for how simple it is for any network to create a sync experience within yap.TV, and did he mention it was free? Yes, yes, he did!

John Paul Titlow and the RWW crew have been reviewing social TV apps for a while now, and we are proud to announce they have crowned yap.TV as “The Best Social TV App for iPad” and we have decided to graciously accept this praise.

They realize the gravity of change that is occurring with the advent of social TV, and how it is a complete game changer that will remake how content producers engage with their audiences.
It’s an excellent piece, and not just because they crowned us King (that does help though).

Christina Warren at Mashable covered our new partnership with Q’Viva! a new show put together by Simon Fuller (of XIX and creator of American Idol), J Lo, Marc Anthony, and Jamie King. Naturally, we are a world of TV fans, not just a country, and yap.TV was “chosen” by Simon Fuller at XIX as the Social TV Idol of choice to help deliver a multilingual social TV experience throughout Latin America.
This is just the tip of the worldwide social TV iceberg, stay tuned!

Randy Stross at the New York Times covered yap.TV and the hot trends occurring on the second screen in this past Sunday’s paper, which proves the market is now real.
Social TV represents an amazing shift in consumer behavior, where the second screen is increasingly becoming the frequent companion to the first screen experience. A significant portion of user activity while on the second screen is related to TV and social networks, but existing social networks by themselves offer only a fragmented second screen experience for the TV audience.
Our CEO, Trevor Stout, had said this in the original full statement, “If you’re on Facebook or Twitter while you’re watching TV,” he says, “you’re not getting an experience customized to the show you’re watching. yap.TV brings social and TV content together, combined with TV scheduling and programming, giving social TV fans worldwide a complete second-screen social TV experience.”
