Randy Stross at the New York Times covered yap.TV and the hot trends occurring on the second screen in this past Sunday’s paper, which proves the market is now real. Social TV represents an amazing shift in consumer behavior, where the second screen is increasingly becoming the frequent companion to the first screen experience. A significant portion of user activity while on the second screen is related to TV and social networks, but existing social networks by themselves offer only a fragmented second screen experience for the TV audience.
