How do I change my profile picture?
Currently the only way to change your profile picture is by linking your Facebook account. For example if you link your Facebook account your yapTV profile picture will be the same as your Facebook picture.
How do I customize my lineup?
When creating an account for the first time you will be given the option to “Customize My Lineup”, if you have already signed up with a yap.TV account please follow these steps to add channels and rearrange your lineup:
- Log in to yap.TV
- Tap the profile image located next to the “Search Shows” box (looks like a outline of a person)
- Tap into “Settings”
- Tap “Customize My Lineup”
- Tap “Channels”
- You can then scroll through the channels and turn channels “On” or “Off” by switching the button. You can also hold and drag the channels to rearrange them in any order you prefer
- Once you have turned on/off the channels you want and rearranged them, tap “save”
- Tap “Settings”
- Tap “Done”
How do I change my cable provider information?
If at any time you change cable providers you can change your yap.TV account preferences to correspond with your new providers schedule data.
- Log in to yap.TV
- Tap the profile image located next to the “Search Shows” box (looks like a outline of a person)
- Tap into “Settings”
- Tap “Customize My Lineup”
- Tap “Zip Code”
- Enter in your new Zip Code or keep the same Zip Code but select a new provider
- Tap “Save”
- Tap “settings”
- Tap “Done”
How can I use my Twitter account with yap.TV?
By linking a Twitter account to your yap.TV account you will be able to use yap.TV as a Twitter client. This means that you will be able to Tweet out from your favorite TV shows with the official hashtags that we include in each tweet. This allows users to be apart of the conversation on Twitter surrounding all TV shows. You are able to reply to different “Star Tweets” and re-tweet all from within the yap.TV app!
How do I “Favorite” a show?
Tap on the Star located at the top left corner of each TV show page to indicate that you want to “Save as Favorite.” This will then allow you to view your favorites shows separately from the rest of the guide lineup.
How do I create a poll?
Create a poll for others to vote on by tapping on the “Polls” card located within each show. From there you can type your own poll question (yes or no answers work best) and then tap “Send”. This poll will then show up within that specific show for other users to vote on! Each user is allowed one vote per poll.
How do I view photos and videos?
View different movie and TV show images by tapping on the “Photos” card from within the show card pages. Currently yap.TV had video clips for all USA Network TV shows. These video clips are located at the end of the photo set from within each of the USA Network original series.
How can I watch full episodes of my favorite TV shows?
yap.TV is a social TV guide, and we do not currently offer full episodes. We are currently working with partners to add full episodes, so stay tuned!
